Task Three – Ideas Generation

These where my ides and themes the theme i have picked will be the rocket i have picked this because i think it will be fun and i think the final product will look good and children will like it. I think it is sutable for kids because it will be colourfal and catching for the eye. I also think kids will like it because i think to children rockets are exciting and they will wanna i. The rocket will make of a traingle, square and rectangle which will be all different colours.

This is the ideas i can adapt to the rocket. I added that it could fly of the screen to give it the effect of a real rocket, I didnt write this in but i could change the background to raining snowing so it could be played at any season. I can also add an colourful exsloshion at the end with 4 kids in the middle. I can also add a letter in the shapes to spell out kids.

This is another one of my ideas it still involved shoped but instead of flying away it would come down there simerler but i think the rocket would be more effective because i dont think it exciting and doesnt apeal to the children as much as my first idea 

This was my last idea i think it was a good idea but i think it would be very diffecult macking the music box and have the 4 kids coming out of it i still had the shapes in there just to make it even more child like. 

Task Two – Market Research

ive been doing my research and i have fount out that most children channel idents use the program that is showing next in there ident



I like this type of ident because it plays what is going to be on next but it allso played other scene so it didnt get boring and they could use more time. I like they showed the hole name of the channel at the end i do think it was a bit fast for childrens eyes i feel they should have used 2 programs in it instead of 3 so the children can understand what is happening more.

in my ident i think the target auidence (kids) will want to see bright colours and i would like them to have an understanding of the ident and what channel they are watching. i have now picked the channel cbbc because its a good age for kids between 5-7
I like this ident because  it uses the brand name in the ident which is a good way to tell the audience what channel there watching it uses bright colours and little actions scenes that keep the kids interested i feel it was a bit more a boys advert rather then girls.


  this advert is very similar to the others. In this ident it still shows the brand name and also some of the programs that show on the channel i liked this because they didn't show the scenes for that long so i didn't lose interest in the ident

I will shows these 3 idents and the audience to pick what one they think is best




My results show that they liked the first ident the best because they liked the different back ground ares such as underwater, urban, country and an explosion site they didn't like that it was mainly green colours. They said they would have liked to see more colours because it is a children's channel. They also said they liked the way they put the channel name into the ident i think i will also use that in my ident.
I asked two mums of small children channel ident as i couldn't as young children because i would get a sensible answer the mum said different colours would be good and something a bit for simple would be better for younger children.
The mums recommended a cbbies ident because it is more simple and suitable for younger children  After showing them this ident they said there prefer this ident because it is more gentle to the younger.

After conducting this group i am going to do my ident round cbbies but still add some of the ideas i got from cbbc ident.

Task One - Target Audience Research

My target audience is children age between 4-7

 

kids this age like information programs that teach them about shapes colours or places, I think they also like bright colours and programs that will asks them question in the program this is good because it helps them learn and have fun at the same time. I think there dislikes are loud action programs i also think they don't like dull or dark colours because it doesn't look inviting.

what is your favourite season snow,rain,night,sunny

I held a focas group to four children aged 4-7 i asked them the question i had to ask. There answer where not really mixxed because when one child said an answer the rest would copy. There answer consited of

What is your favourite colour: Blue, Purple, blue and green

What is your favourite season: They all said sunny

What is your favourite song: Happy by pharrell williams

I was not able to take any pictures because they parents would not allow that. I think the answer where effective because it shows thechildren like bright colours with a nice back ground with nice music i will try and put them ideas into my ident.
